This project was my master thesis for the Digital Designer program (YH/HVE). We where free to choose what we wanted to do and what techniques and programs we wanted to use based on the skills we had acquired during the past 2 years. I chose to focus and learn more about illustrating and animating so I ended up doing a fictive campaign for WWF. The idea is to get more monthly sponsors, single donations, and to provide information and knowledge to the audience.
Video 1: The Melting Polar Ices
This video focuses on the critical issue of melting polar ice. It's based on information from WWF's website regarding the increasing temperatures in the polar regions. The video explore the causes and effects of this environmental challenge. The content is designed to provide a clear understanding of how the melting of polar ice impacts the habitat of the animals living in the region.
Video 2: Overfishing and Acidifying Oceans
The second video addresses two major environmental threats: overfishing and the acidification of oceans. Initially, it delves into the problem of overfishing, presenting data on its scale and impact on marine life and ocean health. The video then shifts to illustrate the growing issue of ocean acidification, and the subsequent threats this poses to marine ecosystems and biodiversity.
All elements are designed and illustrated in Illustrator and then animated in After Effects.
